Personalised ID allows you to display an alphanumeric sender ID to the receiver. This allows companies to be identifiable to the receiver when a message is sent, such as displaying a brand name (e.g. LogicMSG). This is best for sending notification SMS messages which the receiver will not be able to reply to.
You can setup your personalised ID in your Logic Message control panel > Numbers Management.
Some countries have regulations that do not allow personalised ID to be used. Personalised ID messages will not be delivered to the phone numbers in the following countries:
- United States
If you wish to send SMS messages to the countries listed above, you should use a working phone number or rent one from us.
Overriding of Personalised ID
Do note that some carriers/networks have restrictions which will override your personalised ID.
Certain countries may require approval before a personalised ID can be used to send SMS messages.
For countries that requires pre-approval, you will need to get in touch with us for assistance. The whitelisting process can take up to 3 business days if approval from local carriers or regulatory bodies is not required. However, if required, approval from local carriers and regulatory bodies may take up to 8 weeks.
